The decoration, featuring a romantic 18th-century courting couple in a garden, is very typical of early to mid-20th century British ceramics (often from the 1920s–1940s). The geometric blue and orange border reflects an Art Deco influence, which fits well with the 1930s period. • Material: The body is ceramic with a transfer-printed and hand-coloured design.
