Made in the USA The Larson Electronics EPLTC-RPS-2X31L Rechargeable Explosion Proof Light Plant provides a battery powered low voltage mobile lighting solution for applications requiring multiple explosion proof light sources that can be easily managed in the workspace. This mobile light tower cart from Larson Electronics is designed to provide operators in hazardous locations with two Class 1 Division 2 LED lights operating on 12V DC and comes complete with 50 feet of SOOW explosion proof cord and 5-15 plug. Constructed of non-sparking aluminum, this cart is mounted on no-flat rubber tires and contains a 500 watt step down transformer that converts 120 Volts AC current to 12 Volts DC. Once the encapsulated 140ah sealed lead acid battery is depleted, operators can plug this unit into an explosion proof 120 volt outlet or standard 120 volt outlet to charge the unit overnight.
 
   
  The EPLTL-RPS-2X31L light tower features a telescoping tower assembly that can be adjusted from 10 to 20 feet in height for maximum coverage. A single hand crank allows operators to easily raise or lower the tower as needed, and a removable lamp mounting platform allows removal of the lamp assembly for easier transport and storage. The tower is constructed of heavy gauge steel for durability, and a tough powder coat finish provides protection against rust and corrosion. The base of the tower is fitted with two solid wheels to allow easy positioning; the operator can simply tilt the unit back and roll it into the desired location as needed. Once positioned, the four stabilizer legs are lowered to provide support for the tower during operation.  
The above photo shows the EPLTC-RPS-2X31L in a flood configuration.  The area pictured is a 100` x 100` square. The light tower is positioned 15` in. Distance from the light tower to the car`s right rear tire is 45`. As seen, the flood configuration (left) is well suited up close area work, whereas the spot configuration (right) provides more distance. The above photo shows the EPLTC-RPS-2X31L in a spot configuration.

Mounted to the top of the light mast head are two independently adjustable explosion proof LED lights producing a combined 4,668 lumens. The LEDs in each unit are Cree X-Lamp XR-E units that have been chosen for their high lumen per watt ratio and extreme long life. These Cree LEDs provide over 90 lumens per watt output and have a 70% lumen retention at 100,000 hours, giving them better efficiency and operational life than comparable LEDs. The LED light heads are available in a 30 degree spotlight beam configuration for distance and a 100 degree configuration for wide area illumination and are ETL listed Class 1, Division 2, groups A, B, C, and D. The EPLTC-RPS-2X31L rechargeable explosion proof light system charges from primary high voltage electrical current 120 VAC 50/60hz The explosion proof enclosure contains two 70ah AGM batteries and charger/maintainer systems. This explosion proof battery system comes standard with a 50 foot, 16/3 SOOW cord terminated with a 120v, 15 amp 5-15 explosion proof male plug.
